Best of Both Worlds
This silver award winning garden brought combined dessert oasis with the New Zealand landscape to create a picturesque retreat centred around the large scale mural of Auckland harbour by artist, Helen Soffe. With the elements of water features, palm trees, paradise stone, soft foliage, and sand, this garden played with a balance of hard and soft, fluid and rigid lines made a garden you'd want to retreat to.
Contrasting sleek and raw materials
Using paradise rock as edging and features within this garden created hard lines and offered colour tones of natural structures. However, by juxtaposing the quarried stone with delicate planting, the rough lines are softened. Contrasting these natural textures with sleek lines using Stevensons Ezi Wall blocks, paving, along with dark toned wall cladding, elevates the space.
